This looks like serious fun. Maybe if I were more sociable I'd have a crew to go off roading with!

What's in the fire? To me it looks like a guitar that's suffered some seriously hot licks!

It was a blast. Say, what do you know about KLR's? Is there a better dual purpose that is as simple to work on and as reliable?

The fire was nothing but big chunks of wood but that does look like a guitar....

The KLR wins comparisons based on overall competence. I know the 2008 version got a lot of upgrades and the price only went up about $150. The Honda is more expensive but more real off road oriented. Sort of the same with Suzuki. Triumph does well but isn't a bullet proof as the KLR.

Have you seen Gary Charpentier's blog? It's not active now but he's the real KLR authority.

Yup, read his blog daily, have it linked here, as a matter of fact. He also had a blogdetailing his rides on his KLR, Frogwing.

I think the KLR is for me, unless I decide I want the Versys :) Seems like I am a Kawasaki fan.....
